Special Events

TSHA sponsors several special events throughout the year.

  • Vintage ’53 is TSHA’s first premier fundraising event. Master Sommelier, Randa Warren, spoke in 2015 about the intricacies of various wines while guests enjoyed wine samples paired with a gourmet menu prepared by Chef James Shrader of the Palace Café.
  • Deaf Awareness Week is a national week of celebrating deafness. It is observed annually throughout the last full week of September. The week focuses on promoting the positive aspects of deafness, encouraging social inclusion, and raising awareness of the organizations that support the deaf.  Each year a consortium of Tulsa area deafness-related organizations puts together a fun variety of events you won’t want to miss.
  • The Children’s Holiday Party takes place the first Saturday of every December. Deaf and hard of hearing children’s faces beam with joy at the opportunity to talk with Santa directly.  This fully accessible event allows children to play games and see their friends. Every child leaves with a Christmas stocking full of toys!
  • Deaf/Hard of Hearing Children’s Summer Camp
